Trebor Developments and partner Hillwood have announced that work has begun on their speculative 409,000 sq ft distribution centre in Doncaster.
Readie Construction has been appointed as the main contractor for the scheme named ‘Gateway 4’, which is expected to be delivered in a 34-weel programme, with occupation targeting October 2020.
Commenting on the development, Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner for Trebor, commented, “It is great to see work commence on site with this massive industrial development. We look forward to working with Readie Construction on the implementation, adopting a fast track programme. Doncaster Council has been most supportive of the project and will work with us in identifying potential tenants for the building”.
Gateway 4 will provide a bespoke distribution hub with ample parking; the site also benefits from direct access to the A630.
Cllr Bill Mordue, Cabinet Member for Business, Skills and Economic Development at Doncaster
Council, added: “We are delighted to welcome yet another major industrial development company in Trebor Developments to the borough. Our Business Doncaster team look forward to marketing the property and helping to find a tenant for this prestigious speculative unit and bring further quality investment into Doncaster”.
