Thursfields Appoints new Commercial Property Solicitor

Commercial People has learned that a long-standing Worcestershire and the West Midlands-based legal firm has bolstered its commercial property department with the hiring of a new commercial property solicitor.

Thursfields Solicitors is one of the regions oldest and most reputable firms, with more than 150 staff across its various Midlands offices.

The established law firm has hired Parmveer Virdee, formerly of Pickerings in Tamworth, and a former student in law at the University of Birmingham to further strengthen their Commercial Property team.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Virdee said: “I decided to move to Thursfields for the great training and business development opportunities it offers.

“I also wanted to gain exposure to different types of commercial property matters to expand my knowledge base, and I’m looking forward to being part of the firm’s growth and development.”

The move to hire Ms Virdee follows on from Thursfields Solicitors’ turnover growing by 14% in FY 2018 and is one of several key appointments the firm has made in the first few months of the year.

Tony Gibb, who heads up the Commercial Property team at Thursfields, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Parmveer to our growing team.

“She has picked up some valuable post-qualification experience, and we will be looking to build upon her existing knowledge and skills to help the team achieve strong turnover growth again this year.”
