As the property market is focused on the events in Cannes, France, there is another event vying for your attention, dubbed the ‘Alternative MIPIM’, property professionals from across the West Midlands have raised almost £1,000 for Comic Relief.
The annual event is now in its 11th year and is organised by Jilly Cosgrove of Barques and Mike Hargreaves and Stuart Franks of Wolverhampton-based property development Coltham Developments to coincide with MIPIM.
Jilly Cosgrove, Managing Director of Barques, said: “[the] Alternative MIPIM has become a highlight in the region’s property diary and we’re always pleased to see so many people from all parts of the commercial property industry signing up and having a good time.
“We organisers never miss the opportunity to raise money for charity, and as Comic Relief is this week, it was the ideal cause to support. As always, the property sector has demonstrated its generous side by raising almost £1000.”
The networking lunch was attended by a strictly limited 100 persons from sectors including property investment, development, architects and property lawyers who donated money for Comic Relief red noses.
