A Shropshire-based building contractor, Pave Aways, has been appointed to design and build an extension at Blacon High School in Cheshire.
The planned new two-storey block at the school in Melbourne Road will provide additional classrooms and increased supply for Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching, while the contract also includes an external car park.
School operators Cheshire West and Chester Council commissioned the experienced Pave Aways to deliver the project, after previously working in the education sector.
Pave Aways many education projects have seen the firm work with local authorities, universities, colleges and private schools on new build and extension schemes. Pave Awausare currently working on seven other education schemes including the £2.3m refurbishment of the Ashton Theatre at Shrewsbury School and a number for Shropshire Council.
