Public Exhibitions for Tribeca Belfast – Monday 29th July 2019

Tribeca Belfast is an upcoming £500m urban regeneration scheme which will deliver 1,500,000 sq ft of prime residential units, Grade A office space, retail, food and beverages to the city of Belfast.

In June, Castlebrook Investment released a statement following a series of positive amendments to the outline planning permission for Tribeca Belfast, as well as adding a voluntary ten-week public consultation process ahead of the submission proposed in Autumn 2019.

Members will now be able to see a sequence of positive amendments on the outline planning application for Tribeca Belfast for the first time when Castlebrooke Investments holds their exhibition on Monday 29th July 2019 at 6-8 North Street, Belfast. (More dates available below)

One of the changes made was on the corner of Rosemary Street, and North Street, which had plans for a Grade A 27-storey office block; however, this is now going to be 10-storey office instead.

Another change made from the original outline is the inclusion of more green spaces around both courtyards and residential spaces, which Castlebrooke say will be in line with the ‘Belfast Agenda’.

There will also be a higher degree of retention of non-listed building fabric to protect the streetscape. Additionally, a newly appointed team from the world-class architectural design firm Squire & Partners will work alongside Consarc Design Group of Belfast to make the appropriate amendments.

Jonathan Mitchell, director of Castlebrooke Investments, said: “Today we have revealed a series of dates when the public can come and see our reviewed plans for the future of Tribeca Belfast. Importantly there will be the opportunity to provide feedback in person at these events, as well as online via a dedicated website. Interested parties who register via the website will also be able to join our conservation architects from Consarc Design Group on walking tours of the site. The exhibition space will also be available outside of the listed dates upon request.

“We believe that the changes we have made address many of the areas of concern which have been raised to date and it has been great to see a very positive response to these plans. Over the last three weeks, we have held a series of meetings with city stakeholders, all of which have helped to shape the vision for the future of the city centre. We will continue to listen as we move through this voluntary process.”
