Pets at Home Revenue now Exceeds £960m

The UK’s largest pet retailer Pets at Home has today released their 2019 annual report, highlighting the businesses impressive progress over the past 12 months.

Despite many high-street retailers falling by the wayside, the pet supplier has announced a continued growth across most sections of its business, with retail, in particular, performing exceptionally well.

In the report, Pets at Home demonstrate that their revenue now exceeds £960m (+6.9% FY18), with Chief Financial Officer Mike Iddon stating that: “Our Retail business has performed ahead of expectations”.

Figures from the report show that the group’s retail revenue grew 6.2% from 2018, equating to £854.6m.

Pet food is one of the driving revenue sources for Pets at Home, with this aspect attributing for 53% of all retail revenue, bringing the total pet food revenue to £455.4m.

Pets at Home currently have 452 stores across the UK, employing 6,500 retail personnel, and operating 314 grooming salons.

The company’s grooming salon ‘The Groom Room’ is also the UK’s largest branded chain of pet grooming salons, offering a wide range of pet grooming services.
