One of the East Midlands’ largest independent law firms Fraser Brown, has announced the appointment of a new Head of Employment, Clive Day.
Joining Fraser Brown after eight years at global law practice Eversheds, Clive will be advising clients on a full range of employment law issues, ranging from local employment disputes to lar-scale employment litigation and complex corporate restructures.
The Oxford University alumnus commented on his new role, stating: “Fraser Brown is one of the top law firms in the region, and the team is known for their approachable style and legal excellence.
“They have a fantastic, loyal client base and specialisms in areas complementary to my own. Given its reputation and the exciting opportunities within the firm, it was an easy decision to come on board.
“It’s a crucial time to be working in employment law with issues such as the gender pay gap, gig economy, and #metoo campaign, getting much needed and deserved attention. I’m pleased to be leading a team that represents a fresh offering in the East Midlands legal marketplace.”
In addition to Clive’s service for Eversheds, Clive was listed in the 2017’s Legal 500 as the ‘go-to person for complex technical issues’ and is known for his experience in employee restructuring amongst other skills.
Patrick Wood, Managing Partner at Fraser Brown, said: “We’re delighted to have someone of Clive’s expertise and character on board as head of employment at Fraser Brown.
“His proven experience of navigating complex areas of the law with clarity and a down-to-earth approach makes him the perfect candidate to lead the team, as well as be a part of it. Clive will be an invaluable asset to us as a law firm and will serve our clients well.”
