Moolman Group’s Sam Ntuli Mall in Katlehong Now Open

A major South African commercial property developer is set to open a brand new mall in the Gauteng provincial township of Katlehong today.

Owned by the established Moolman Group, the Pretoria-headquartered business has partnered with Twin City Developments and Vuno Developments to deliver the much-anticipated Sam Ntuli Mall.

Commenting on the development, Pieter Lombaard, CEO of Moolman Group said: “Katlehong is one of the last townships to receive an enclosed shopping destination, and we are proud to give both our customers and tenants a space in which to gather, grow and make new memories.”

With over 110 stores spread across 31,000m² of space, the mall aims to deliver a comprehensive and varied selection of fashion tenants, restaurants and supermarket chains such as Shoprite.

The construction of Sam Ntuli Mall took 16 months and created over 800 jobs at its peak; once open, the mall is expected to boost the local job sector even further.

Highlighting the importance to the local economy, Mr Lombaard added: “We foresee an additional 850 permanent jobs being created by the stores with 75% of these being local residents,”

Sam Ntuli Mall’s official launch takes place today, with a range of exciting events planned on both launch day and Friday 1st November.
