The Midlands-based commercial interiors, fit-out and construction firm, APSS, has announced the completion of its major interior transformation project for national motorcycle insurance company MCE.
Work on the project at Rushden, Northamptonshire which covered the conference, training and storage centres began earlier this year in April. Throughout the project, APSS aimed to channel MCE Insurance’s rich history to create a unique and “people-centric” space.
MCE Insurance Operations Director, Matt Duck, was impressed by the job APSS did, adding: “APSS has done a fantastic job at creating a building that reflects who we are, whilst also providing a space that facilitates individual and collaborative working. It’s vibrant and contemporary, and it’s exactly what MCE were looking for.”
Commercial People has learned that all aspects of the building were carefully selected to parallel MCE’s brand, with bespoke furniture and storage solutions designed and manufactured by APSS from their Lincoln workshop.
The extensive fit-out included the refurbishment of MCE’s main office facilities as well as communal spaces, receptions, meeting rooms and conference suites. According to APSS, this ‘softened’ design approach gives a more ‘comfortable and relaxed atmosphere’ for MCE’s staff and guests to enjoy.
Miles Thomas, Operations Director at APSS, said: “This project is a great example of how we work with our customers to make their ideas into a reality, creating an on-brand design which highlights the company’s personality as well as providing an eye-catching, yet functional and modern, working environment.”
