The leading global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, reveals that the 235,900 sq ft purpose-built Schaeffler manufacturing facility in Llanelli, Wales is now on the market.
Owned by automotive component supplier Schaeffler, they have appointed Cushman as the sole agent to dispose of the building which forms part of a 17.47-acre site.
Schaeffler announced it would be closing the South Wales site last year and is expected to vacate the premises in November.
Located adjacent to the A484 on one of the main routes between Swansea and Llanelli, the manufacturing facility boasts several ancillary buildings including a security gatehouse, chemical stores and a separate detached warehouse/store.
Chris Yates from Cushman & Wakefield’s Logistics & Industrial team, said: “This presents a rare opportunity to acquire the freehold interest in a major manufacturing facility in South Wales. The premises have been well maintained by Schaeffler during their occupation and benefit from a good degree of expansion land to the immediate north of the building, together with an access road circumnavigating the main facility with multiple access/loading points.”
