Independent developer Nord has announced the main contractor for its new office building, in the heart of Bristol’s commercial district.
Named, One Portwall Square, the Stockholm-headquartered construction and project development firm, Skanska, is due to commence construction on the six-storey, 33,750 sq ft building shortly, with completion expected in late 2021.
Commenting on the project, Skanska Regional Director John Brennan, said: “Since negotiations began, we have worked closely with Nord and are delighted to sign this contract so we can use our knowledge and expertise to deliver this exciting, sustainable project for them.”
One Portwall Square was designed by Stirling Prize winners Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) and combines contemporary architecture with a focus on tenant amenity, wellbeing and sustainability.
Nord has stated that One Portwall Square is committed to outstanding sustainability, energy efficiency and connectivity and will be built to BREEAM Excellent and EPC Rating A standards.
