An established Dublin-headquartered construction and fit-out company, ‘mac-group’ (stylised), has completed works at a £5 million retail park in Birmingham.
Located at the former Severn Trent Water site on Coventry Road in the area of Sheldon, mac-group – who have offices in Birmingham, Manchester and Newry, – have transformed the site into 27,000 sq ft of retail space, containing a Marks & Spencer food store, B&M Bargains and The Gym Group amongst others.
In total, the retail park will have five retail units with a car park of 582 spaces.
Paul McKenna, Group CEO of the mac-group, said: “It’s great news to have completed the building works for this retail park in Sheldon. We’ve delivered a very high-quality development for Chase Midlands Estates, which enhances the local retail offer and provides much-needed facilities for the area that will attract shoppers from across the area.”
Appointed by developer Chase Midlands Estate, mac-group was contracted to undertake all building works, including lighting and landscaping duties.

In addition to their work on the Sheldon retail park, mac-group recently moved into newly expanded offices in Solihull, quadrupling their space as they aim to expand operation in the Midlands.
Among the several projects, mac-group are working on, include a 60,000 sq ft refurb and extension for Unilever at Burton on Trent for £13m.
