Leeds’ Merrion Centre Welcomes 4 New Brands

Commercial People has learned that the 1 million sq ft mixed-use scheme, Merrion Centre, is set to create 15 new jobs as four new brands are set to join the growing community.

Occupying more than 7,000 sq ft of combined space, the non-essential retail shops – which consist of a sports store, an Afro-Caribbean hair salon, a bespoke salad shop, and a furniture shop, are primed and ready to go once the lockdown rules are lessened on December 2nd.

Commenting on the new arrivals, Charles Newman, Associate Director, Estates at Town Centre Securities, owners of the Merrion Centre said: “We look forward to welcoming our 4 exciting new brands to the Merrion Centre which will open in line with our other non-essential stores post lockdown from December 3rd. These new additions to our existing extensive mix of home and lifestyle, health and beauty and food and beverage occupiers will provide even more choice and bring further unique, specialist services to our diverse customer base.”

The new outlets include an official shop for rugby league club, Leeds Rhinos, a bespoke salad shop, ‘Salade’, furniture shop, ‘Durham Bed and Furniture Centre’, as well as an Afro-Caribbean hair salon, ‘Teisha’s Hair & Beauty salon’.

Commenting on what it means to open their business in the Merrion Centre, Nateisha Dewdney, Owner of Teisha’s Hair & Beauty salon said: “We are so excited to be opening our flagship salon at the Merrion Centre which is such a prominent location, central to our existing clientele and a great base to attract new clients. We cannot wait to bring our specialist services to the heart of Leeds city centre and will be offering a series of special offers to welcome customers to the salon.”
