Leeds City Centre Office Market Rents to Reach New High

Commercial real estate consultancy, OBI, has forecasted that headline rents in Leeds city centre office market will reach a new high in 2020.

Following the announcement of the recently approved 330,000 sq ft Wellington Street scheme (of which OBI are agents), Rob Prescott and Oliver Stainsby, of OBI’s Leeds office and national transactions and management teams, predict a new headline rent of £34 per sq ft in 2020 for standing stock and best in class buildings such as The Majestic, the new home of Channel 4.

Commenting on the Leeds rental landscape, Rob said: “We anticipate strong investor demand for office refurbishment schemes in Leeds, based on the supply and demand dynamic and shortage of Grade A space in the City.
