Commercial property and investment company London & Cambridge Properties (LCP) have submitted a planning application for a new multi-screen cinema at one of their owned shopping centres in the Midlands.
LCP, who own the Wulfrun Shopping Centre in Wolverhampton, submitted a planning application to Wolverhampton City Council seeking to change the use and layout of units 74-78 within the shopping centre to include three auditoria.
Andrew Barrett, retail director at Kingswinford-based LCP, said: “We’re excited to unveil our plans for the future success of the Wulfrun Shopping Centre and bring a much-needed leisure facility to the heart of the city centre. We believe there’s huge potential to create a stronger night-time economy in the city and complement existing traders in the shopping centre.”
If the plans are approved, the cinema could hold just under 350 people across the three auditoriums, as well as providing 1,850 sq ft of space for restaurant and food options.
