Two new Starbucks drive-thru outlets have been launched across the Midlands as part of the coffee chain’s regional expansion.
Launched with support from the well established chartered surveyors Johnson Fellows, Starbucks franchisee 1 Oak Ltd recently opened a drive-thru store at the A38 near Barton-under-Needwood, Staffordshire and will open another shortly at Hough Retail Park, Stafford.
Commenting on the openings, 1 Oak Director Bobby Sidhu said: “Our first Starbucks drive-thru is now open on the A38 at Barton-under-Needwood. Customers can call in and enjoy a coffee with great views of the marina and canal.
“Special thanks to all our partners for a big transformation of the old Little Chef, and to the 1 Oak team for pulling out all the stops to open early. More drive-thrus will follow. We’re always looking for more sites for drive-thru and drive-to stores in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, and Shropshire.”
Johnson Fellows have also been appointed by 1 Oak to identify new locations across the Midlands; taking into consideration units of 1,800 sq ft to 2,500 sq ft.
Chris Gaskell, Retail Agency Partner at Birmingham-based Johnson Fellows, said: “These are exciting times for 1 Oak and its Starbucks operations. The company is focusing on a major expansion of drive-thru sites, with three other deals already in the hands of solicitors. We’re searching areas across the Midlands to secure further suitable roadside sites.”
