Namco Tooling, a specialist engineering firm supplying threading equipment to companies around the world, is set for fresh growth after securing a new base.
The move from the ageing premises at Marlborough Works, Studley to their new unit at Victoria Works on Birmingham Road sees Namco Tooling secure an 11,749 q ft unit on a popular trading estate.
Commenting on his company’s move, Director Graham Cooke said the old base was “quite old and in poor condition,” before adding: “We needed somewhere more suitable as we invested in more computerised manufacturing and tooling equipment.
“I’ve known John Truslove for 30 or 40 years, and we have a good relationship with a lot of trust. The agency did an excellent job, finding us new premises. They are smaller but much more suitable to our needs.”
Property group John Truslove helped secure a five-year lease on the new Victoria Works and also sold Namco’s previous site to Frontier Estates, who have since received planning permission to redevelop the premises into a care home.
Commenting on their working relationship, Mr Truslove said: “We have had a long and successful relationship with Graham Cooke and Namco, so we had a good idea of the type of premises the company needed for the next stage in its development.
“Victoria Works is a justifiably popular trading estate and has recently benefited from an uprated electricity supply. It is the ideal base for a specialist engineer like Namco, and we are delighted to have played a further part in helping this well-respected business continue to thrive.”
