One of the UK’s top real estate advisory organisations, Colliers International, has released a report highlighting some of the key areas of development that the country has experienced between the period of 2016 to 2018.
According to data revealed in the brief report, 7 out of 9 regional centres expect demand for city centre offices to increase, while landlords and institutions have also had an increase in demand for refurbished space.
Across the UK, Colliers found that there was a lack of Grade A space across the regions which in turn had a knock-on effect causing the demand to increase for Grade B buildings in city centres.
Over the period of 2016 – 2018, Colliers found that there was also an increase in the number of employees who worked from home, in 2018, Edinburgh, Glasgow, the South East, Dublin and Belfast all expected an increase in the demand for working from home.
