Flurry of New Industrial Units Hits the South West Property Market

Commercial People has learned that one of the UK’s largest builders’ merchants, Travis Perkins, has instructed commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) to secure the letting and sale of several of their properties.

LSH has been tasked with selling and seeking occupants for a number of Travis Perkins’ warehouse units and trade counters across the South West.

Commenting on the instruction, Paul White, Asset Manager at Travis Perkins, said: “We are pleased to appoint Lambert Smith Hampton due to their prominent activity in the region. The subsequent strong level of interest generated at an early stage for all properties listed is encouraging and will hopefully keep voids down across the portfolio.”

Despite only being on the market for a short period of time, LSH claim that there has already been significant interest in acquiring the properties, ranging in location from Basingstoke to Poole to Weymouth.

Dan Rawlings, Associate Director of Industrial and Logistics at LSH, added: “We are delighted to have been instructed by Travis Perkins to market these properties in the South-West. The units range from trade counter to warehouses with large secure yards and represented exciting opportunities for other occupiers.”
