Flat Iron to Open in Borough Market

The Global real estate advisor, CBRE, along with joint agent BC Retail, has announced that it has leased a prime retail unit in Borough Market to steak restaurant Flat Iron.

Leased on behalf of client Nuveen, Flat Iron has agreed to a 15-year lease at Soho Wharf. This deal marks the opening of the affordable steakhouse’s ninth location, adding to their existing restaurant sites across London.

Soho Wharf is a mixed-use building in the heart of London, comprising of The Clink Museum and office space, boasting City and Thames views.

Commenting on the news, CBRE Retail Director Mark Calder said: “Despite the ongoing restrictions in place across the UK, we were able to accommodate viewings for this site, resulting in a competitive bidding process. In turn, Nuveen had the rare opportunity to choose the operator they felt was most suited to the space. The level of interest we received gives us confidence in the recovery of the F&B sector, particularly for sought-after locations across London.”
