Emms Gilmore Liberson expands Birmingham Headquarters

Commercial People has learned that Emms Gilmore Liberson (EGL), a highly rated commercial legal practice, has moved into a new office at the heart of Birmingham city centre.

EGL has taken 2,300 sq ft of refurbished office space adjacent to its existing offices within Lancaster House, located on the junction of Newhall Street and Great Charles Street Queensway.

Mark Dakeyne, Partner at EGL, said: “Birmingham city centre has been our home since formation more than eight years ago and Lancaster House was the obvious choice when considering new office space in which to expand our operation. The office’s modern style and additional meeting and breakout space perfectly fits our consultative approach as a business.”

The move will allow the law firm to accommodate future growth, providing capacity for up to 28 additional employees and bringing its combined office space to 8,000 sq ft.

Birmingham-based EGL also doubled its number of partners with the appointment of Jonathan Wright, as well as conducting a trio of promotions.

Mr Dakeyne adds “EGL has built a reputation for delivering commercially-informed professional advice from a first-class team of lawyers at an affordable price, setting us apart from many of our competitors. The firm is unique in that it attracts the kind of high-quality clients that are often only seen at national and global firms, and we continue to grow consistently. Our location is very convenient for transport connections, just outside the inner core traffic restrictions, making it convenient for clients to visit and for us to service them wherever they may be based.”
