The speciality coffee roaster 200 Degrees, is set to open a new coffee shop in McArthurGlen’s popular East Midlands Designer Outlet next month.
Located at Junction 28 of the M1, the new 80-seater shop will provide 16 new jobs, while serving freshly roasted coffee from its local roast house in Nottingham.
Tom Vincent, co-founder and director at 200 Degrees, said: “This is the first out of town location for us in the UK and we chose the East Midlands Designer Outlet as it’s a prominent, retail destination. We also hope to satisfy our barista’s endless desire for Converse; the shop is a few doors away from us.
“As well as serving up fresh food every day, we look forward to offering our locally roasted coffee beans and a wide range of high calibre coffee equipment and gift ideas – especially as it’s nearly that time of year.
“For people who know us, there will be lots that’s familiar, and we’re keen to offer a seat to everyone from flagging shoppers and fellow workers to business people looking for a bit of space and some WiFi. Our takeaway service has been fine-tuned over the years, and we’ll be open early for freshly made breakfasts.”
The new 1,864 sq ft shop is the company’s eleventh to open since 2014, and rapidly follows the brands’ second Birmingham store last month.
Founded in 2012 by Tom Vincent and his business partner Rob Darby, the specialist firm has expanded across the country with plans to open its twelfth store when its Manchester shop opens later this year.
Paul Tyler, centre manager, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Nottingham-based coffee roasters, 200 Degrees Coffee to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet East Midlands. We are passionate about supporting local businesses and are delighted to be able to offer our guests another independent food and beverage offering.”
Opening times for the shop are 8 am – 8 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am – 7 pm on Saturdays and 9 am – 5 pm on Sundays.
