Bond Wolfe Secures site for New Black Country Care Centre

Commercial property firm Bond Wolfe- has announced that it has helped a fellow Black Country firm to open a major new day centre in Rowley Regis.

Securing the Throne Road premises on a 10-year lease, Oldbury-based care provider Select Lifestyles aims to turn the large property into a multi-functioning day centre.

James Mattin, Managing Partner at West Bromwich-based commercial property agency Bond Wolfe, said: “We are delighted to continue our strong partnership with Select Lifestyles, brokering yet another deal with them.

“This will return a building to useful life, providing a hugely important new resource for people in the area as well as providing an opportunity for further growth for Select Lifestyles.”

Richard Horwell, from Bond Wolfe’s commercial agency department, added: “We didn’t even produce any marketing material, because as soon as I walked around the building, I knew it would be suitable for Select Lifestyles. I invited them straight round to have a look and then negotiated a deal which worked for both parties.”

Select Lifestyles currently operates across 22 sites in the UK but were said to have been drawn to the Throne Road property due to its size, and the large number of rooms.

The Rowley Regis based day centre will enable Select Lifestyles to expand its current services available in Dudley, with plans to include sensory and music rooms as well as several vocational courses and lifestyle courses.

Select Lifestyles has expanded dramatically since its launch in 2007 and is aiming to consider its hunt for further properties to enhance its portfolio even further.

Les Trumpeter, chairman of Select Lifestyles, said: “Our 5-10 year plan is to open a day service within each West Midland combined authority council area.

“This is our second-day service and will be a huge asset to Select Lifestyles as it will enable us to offer extended services to all the people we support as well as to prospective clients.

“We appreciate Bond Wolfe’s contributions to helping us toward achieving our plans, already having obtained several properties through the agency to date.”
