Legal & General recently announced leasing an office space of 30,490 sq ft in 1 Whitehall Quay to an IT and business consultancy in Leeds.
Ideally located in the centre of Leeds’ west end adjacent towards River Aire, the building’s owners Legal & General invested £1.5million into refurbishment to provide high quality, value for money accommodation which has now been let to BJSS.
Matt Jarvis, Senior Fund Manager at Legal & General, said: “We are pleased to welcome BJSS to the building. The letting is [a] testament to our team of asset managers’ ability to create high-quality office space in a location where there is a significant supply/demand imbalance.”
Richard Thornton, Director at JLL who advised on the deal, added: “Legal & General has capitalised on the current city centre supply pressures for good quality offices by completing the refurbishment of the entire building.
“1 Whitehall Quay’s location next to the railway station and the city’s extensive retail and leisure amenities makes this a great choice.”
For this transaction JLL had worked with Colliers International and Knight Frank to advise Legal & General. On the other side, the new tenants – BJSS used Heaney Michlethwaite.
