Bedfordshire Industrial Centre Attracts Attention Following Refurbishment

Commercial property consultancy Kirkby Diamond has announced the successful let of a 6,727 sq ft industrial warehouse.

Following an extensive refurbishment programme, household good distributor and importer, Rotor Services, took a five-year lease on the unit at Sandy Industrial Centre on Blaydon Road in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

Kirkby Diamond client Petchey Holdings acquired the 17,000 sq ft building in late 2020 and has converted it into four industrial units. Rotor Services is the first new tenant and will use the unit for storage and distribution.

Commenting on the lease, Kirkby Diamond’s Associate Surveyor Paul Quy said: “We have had a wonderful response from local businesses to the refurbished space at Sandy Industrial Estate. Within a very short period of time, we were able to conclude the deal with Rotor Services on unit four, while unit one is also under offer to a local business that needs a head office and distribution centre.

“Units two and three, which are 3,132 sq ft and 3,261 sq ft respectively, are still available but we have had numerous enquiries and we are confident that they won’t remain on the market for too long.”
