Construction of a large, speculatively developed industrial unit in Rotherham has reached practical completion, according to site owners Trebor & Hillwood.
Main contractor MCS Group delivered the 78,458 sq ft high-quality unit known as ‘Atomic’ on behalf of the established Trebor Developments & Hillwood partnership.
Commenting on the completion of the site, Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner of Trebor Developments, said: “It’s fantastic to see Atomic reach practical completion. The team at MCS Group and everyone else involved have done a tremendous job to deliver a very high-quality industrial unit which is now ready for occupation, despite the rain encountered over the last few months.
“The development provides quality industrial accommodation to meet local and regional occupier needs and represents part of our national development pipeline of similar speculative, industrial, developments, delivering in the order of three million square feet over the next 18 months.”
Located on Todwick Road in Dinnington, the near 80,000 sq ft industrial unit is also under 2.5 miles from Junction 31 of the M1, further adding to its location benefits.
Tim Perkins, Group Development Director at Midlands-based MCS Group, said: “It’s always a pleasure to work alongside Bob and the team at Trebor Developments. Together, we have delivered an excellent industrial/logistics unit in a first-class location, which will help to address the needs of the regional market.
“We made very good progress on the site, despite some tricky weather conditions and reached practical completion before the end of the year, as scheduled.”
