£3.2M South Yorkshire Investment Deal Completes

The global real estate advisor CBRE has announced that it has helped to acquire a 19,304 sq ft site in Barnsley.

Acting on behalf of STR Capital, CBRE’s Leeds Investment Properties team has acquired a large new-build, builders’ merchants and trade counter investment in Barnsley, South Yorkshire for £3,270,000.

Located to the northeast of Barnsley Town Centre on Twibell Street, the unit was developed by Allenby Commercial.

Currently, the multi-million-pound unit is leased on a 25-year term to MKM Building Supplies (Group) Limited, one of the UK’s largest independent builders’ merchants with over 70 branches nationwide.

Commenting on the deal, CBRE’s Henry King said: “This asset comprises a modern new-build trade unit in a strong regional market, providing a secure long-term income stream which was a great fit for our clients investments objectives. We believe this will be a great addition to our clients portfolio and we are very pleased we were able to secure the asset in such a competitive market.”
