125,000 Grade-A Office Block in Southside, Nottingham Receives Green Light

Planning permission has officially been approved for the seven-storey Crocus Place, Nottingham.

Consisting of 125,000 sq ft of Grade-A office space, Perfect circle has been chosen to deliver their project management expertise as well as cost management, health and safety advisory, BREEAM services and M&E consultancy.

Victoria Brambini, managing director of Perfect Circle, said: “Plans for Crocus Place were unveiled at MIPIM this year. Nottingham has a shortage of Grade A office space, so this development will really help address this demand, creating and retaining more jobs in the city.

“We’re incredibly proud to be involved in this landmark development and look forward to seeing this aesthetically and environmentally inspiring office development take shape.”

As part of the redevelopment phase of the city’s Southside, Crocus Place will bring the land which is currently derelict back to life with Nottingham Train Station close to the development.

An estimated 1,000 desk spaces are expected to be available, and this will become a new commercial destination which will neighbour Unity Square, Station Street and City Buildings.

Anthony Cork, regional director for Perfect Circle, said: “In such a strategic location in Nottingham’s city centre, next to major transport links with the rest of the UK and Europe and the UK’s major distribution hubs on the doorstep, Crocus Place will provide prime office space for businesses.

“Crocus Place will play a major role in the vast regeneration projects happening across Nottingham. The scheme is set to attract new businesses, as well as provide jobs and enhance [the] surrounding public realm for the local community.”

Mark Robinson, Scape Group chief executive, added: “Our BECS framework has been designed to accelerate and optimise the provision of consultancy services for exciting projects such as Crocus Place. Businesses want and need state of the art premises, which are also future-proofing the environment by harnessing sustainable energy generation. By utilising the expertise within Perfect Circle, Crocus Place will further position Nottingham city as a thriving business community.”
